aesthetics

we did talk briefly about using some collage in the aestheticfor the film.

aesthetics

heres another one but with more of an inky line style to it.

aesthetics

ive never done painting in photoshop before but this is what ive come up with for an aesthetic to the film using more of a pinky colour to the desert landscape.

Aesthetic

Just made a little colour testy sketchy thing for an experiment.

And one with a darker vignette thingy...
I'm not convinced I've got the colours right; it needs to look dustier. But how?! Maybe I need a little more grey... It just looks too clean and clinical, I think. I'm envisioning dusty and gritty.

Also, while looking on Hans Bacher's blog, I found these, painted by Paul Julian, from a WB Sylvester and Tweety, "Tweet Tweet Tweety", 1951...

I'm particularly liking the top one (the panning background), and the top right (of the group of four). Style is simple, colours are good :)

Hello people (but primarily Gemma and Liz)

Just a heads up, to anybody trying to practice the characters, I'm thinking we ignore the body shapes line up I posted before - I just tried drawing Bliss' head onto his body and Prof T's head onto his body, and it didn't work so well. The proportions will need to change a bit I think. I drew a body based on the head (for each of them) and it looked much better. We can discuss this in tomorrow's sesh.

And we'll post up the official guidelines for the characters soon!

Character Design pt.1

General update: we now have character designs finalised, and our animatic is timed.

Yo, here is the line up for the different body shapes and relative heights. Gemma should put our final character designs on here soon, so we can all begin practising!

If you have some spare time and want to, please consider the asethetic, and come up with some concept art (e.g., for background, interiors, exteriors, lighting, mood, colour swatches, Honkers logo, etc.) for Monday.

Enjoy your weekend :)
